Owen County Clerk Records Office
The primary clerk for Owen County court case records is the Circuit Court Clerk. Kentucky does not use a locally separate county court clerk for trial-court case files. The Kentucky Court of Justice Owen County page lists Margaret Forsee as Circuit Court Clerk and places the office in the Owen County Judicial Center. That office is the records counter for cases heard in Circuit Court, Family Court, and District Court. It is also the local place to ask whether an older public court file is still in the clerk's office, stored at a record facility, held by the State Records Center, transferred to Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives, or no longer retained.
The elected Owen County Clerk is a separate office. That distinction matters. Owen County Court Clerk Duties
The Circuit Court Clerk keeps the case record after a matter is filed in a Kentucky trial court. Request Owen County Certified Copies
A certified court copy is a clerk-issued copy with official certification. Owen County Clerk Fees

Owen County Online Access
Owen County does not have a separate county-run court case portal in the research. Public case lookup starts with KYeCourts guest access, and court dates start with the statewide docket search. The docket search should be used with care because the interface warns that it is not the official docket and can change. For a court appearance, a mailed notice, online docket entry, and phone confirmation with the Circuit Court Clerk are stronger than one source alone.

The County Attorney is not the court clerk, so criminal case copies and court dockets still route through the Circuit Court Clerk.
